I’ve worked as a reporter and freelance writer while writing fiction on the side for fun. My short stories have been Glimmer Train and Writer’s Digest finalists. Here are a few published pieces:

Sheila, I just read your short story, Wandering Universes at a coffee shop in Dennis. I enjoyed it immensely, it left me feeling melancholy but hopeful. Some passages resonated deeply with me because of their authenticity like this astute observation, “real thoughts hardly entered the conversations. The truth is too often reserved for strangers.” How odd that this is often the case; that random interactions with strangers are often more real than conversations with those we know well. I also enjoyed your main character’s interest in attempting to experience the exact moment in time, something I am trying to practice daily. Thank you.
Thank you! That’s really nice to hear, especially when it can be too easy to let self doubt creep in every once in a while. It’s nice to meet someone from Cape Cod here – that’s great that you’re finding ways to enjoy everything! Dogs really do have a lot to teach us.
