Spring is out there somewhere and I’m looking forward to…
Running through the Cape Cod jungle
Swimming
Looking at the world fromย the ocean’s point of view
Colors and flowers
And finally…porch sitting whenever possible
Happy Spring!
What are you looking forward to?
All the same things. But my view’s not as pretty as yours. ๐ฆ
I don’t know, those Ohio corn fields can be pretty jungle like! It is nice that some Cape Cod woods have been preserved even though there’s been a lot of construction. So places like that have to be sought out but they are still there!
Luckily I’m not near any corn fields. That would depress me. I’m actually near a very beautiful park that runs from Cleveland to Akron, and in fact, one can ride on a bike trail the whole way if they like. Absolutely gorgeous in the fall, so I shouldn’t complain. But I wouldn’t mind a water view. ๐
Awesome colours. And I’d like to run through the jungle too please – not too many cars to dodge in there I’d say ๐
That’s right – no cars – just dogs and maybe a squirrel or two!
Looks fantastic. I’m sure a few of us would be happy to join you but it’s going to get very crowded after seeing the pictures. xx Hugs xx
I don’t mind having friends join me, but crowds do sound scary. I’m guessing it’ll be pretty crowded here by summertime so I’ll have to get out there and enjoy those colors as soon as they appear. Hugs to you and Julia!
Beautiful views! That’s a dog’s life for you. Yea for Spring.
Yes, Sparks has quite a life! She gets to sit in the sun and go swimming much more often than I do, but it’s fun to watch her enjoying it all.
How wonderful to see the color green again! And the vibrant colors of the beautiful flowers! And there’s nothing more wonderful than seeing a happy dog enjoying the sun. I know my own dog is waiting patiently for the first rays of the warmer sun to start sunbathing again….
It is pretty funny to see so much green and then look out the window to see that it’s snowing! Hard to believe everything will change soon. I hope your dog won’t have to wait for too long! ๐
All the same things you’re looking forward to. Hoping to spend some time on the Cape, down Maine and up to Vermont this summer. But right now, at this moment, I’m just looking forward to seeing some green!
Yes! Green is mostly what I’m looking forward to. ๐ Our paths just might cross this summer. I’ll be on the lookout for you and your camera.
Love this! I’m looking forward to fresh, warm air, sunshine, and more time outdoors.
Me too. Those simple things that are the best.
Ah what a beautiful dog!!!! we just had to give away our Irish Setter to my sister because my husbands allergy got worse by the day:-)
Thank you! She’s an English setter and she’s filled with crazy fun. Sorry you had to give yours away, but it’s nice that she’s still in the family.
๐ I am jealous of you:-) But yes it is great that she is still in the family:-) Setters are wonderful:-) Thanks for the follow by the way, very much appreciated:-)
Sure thing – your blog is inspiring and now I’m jealous of all your adventures. ๐
being able to play to grill outside with a cold beer, and baseball. lots of baseball.
Sounds like great summer fun. I was going to add outdoor fires but then couldn’t find those pictures and wouldn’t want everyone to think I’m a pyromaniac. ๐
lol
I’m with you on this one and porch sitting is my favorite! Sparks looks very happy on that porch! ๐
Porch sitting is her favorite activity too. That and running in the woods. Luckily, I like doing the same things as Sparks. I usually just walk and let her do all the running though. I hope everything’s going well with the RUC and that there are no hurricanes to be seen!
Lovely photos.
I’m looking forward to being warm…to wearing fewer layers (still sitting in house with heating on, 2 pairs trousers, 4 tops, scarf, socks and sheepskin boots!). Also, lambs and Highland calves in the fields round us again will be nice.
Me too on being warm again. That’s just too much clothing to be wearing indoors! I’ve been wrapping myself up in blankets too and now it’s snowing again! Lambs and Highland calves sound like wonderful things to look forward to. Hope you stay warm in the meantime.
Thanks! Will try to get a photo of the spring babies when they arrive ๐
I’m looking forward to green and colorful flowers! I saw some redbuds blooming in Fairfax today, and the daffodils are going strong now. Cherry blossoms will be a bit later this year…. We need some warmer weather first, though!
Cherry blossoms really are something to appreciate. They’re so beautiful and delicate. It’s snowing here tonight believe it or not. Enjoy those colors and flowers!
I’m so jealous of your greenery, it’s just beautiful!
It is nice to have parks like that around where the green can really flourish. For now though, it’s mostly white out there because a snowstorm came through last night and left us with a bunch of snow and slush. ๐
Yep, I hear the snow keeps coming… Good luck!
What a beautiful post, Sheila, and I wish for all the same joys of spring, too. In fact, some of your photos look similar to our surroundings here in northern Cal. I love the greenery, too, so enjoy before the hot summer hits…Hugs to you!
Thanks Lauren! It looks like that motorbike will be lots of fun in the spring too. Hope you have a great time speeding through the green. Hugs and Happy Spring!
Awesome girl!!! That was lovely
Hey Licia! ร’m sure you’ll be getting some of that spring weather before me so enjoy! Love you!
Beautiful pics, and of course I love your setter. ๐ I’m looking forward to spring, too. I’m done done done with winter. Our property overlooks conservation land, and there’s a small pond that we really can’t do anything with because it’s too shallow and filled with decaying leaves, trees, and other stuff. But we get to see all kinds of wildlife around that pond, and it’s fun to explore.
I’m glad you know what I mean when I say setters are crazy fun! Sometimes really, they’re just crazy. That sounds like a great place to watch all the seasonal changes. Most of those pictures were taken in a park and that pond is also pretty murky, so Sparks gets to go swimming much more often than I do. ๐
what glory surrounds you ~ talk to every living thing for me dear friend ~ xo
Yes, sometimes we have to seek that glory out and it’s always worth it when we do. Happy Spring!
Everything looks so peaceful and quiet.
Lovely surroundings.
As I write this post, I hear loud traffic coming and going, and if I ventured up to the window I will see high rise haphazard buildings as far as I can see, and the roads will be filled with pedestrians and motorists in cars and on motorbikes …
And I realized I need a break away from this city ๐
I used to live in Boston so I know what you mean. I do love the excitement and energy of cities, but it’s also nice to take a break from them. So I’ll try to give you some virtual breaks. ๐
Spring is such an exciting time of year! Can’t wait!
It is nice to see a few flowers popping up and to hear the birds singing again. Happy Spring!
So beautifulโฆ ๐ The period similar to your spring is now but we don’t feel the same excitement just because what comes next is a very short hard winter.
I hope your winter is a short one! We had much more snow and ice than usual these last few months, so that spring excitement just might be even crazier than usual. ๐
Sun and warmth is what I’m looking for the most.
Me too! We’re getting arctic air here today though. I hope you find some of that sun.
Such a cheerful post ! Happy Spring Sheila !
Happy Spring! It’s just now starting to feel like the real thing here now. I hope you’re enjoying some spring weather too!
