flowers puddle under trees
forming waves with a breeze
inviting passersby to swim
through velvet petals on a whim
or to simply stop and dip their toes in
Virginia bluebells? Great imagery and beautiful photos! Ahhhh Spring….
I’m not sure but they were very blue. The flowers were pretty small so they seemed almost like weeds. Happy Spring!
What a great poem, truly. This is the type of writing that draws a picture, expressions an emotion, and feeling
Thank you – I wasn’t sure about that last line but threw it in there anyway. They do look like they’d be fun to swim in.
Beautiful! I want some flower puddles in my yard to dip my toes in!
These were on my way to work so I haven’t dipped mine in yet either, but it’s tempting!
I woke up to a snow storm tihs morning. Your flower puddles give me hope 🙂
I’m glad – spring is on the way!
So vivid.
It echoes of the spring season! Makes me want to go to lake. =D
Same here – swimming through flowers wouldn’t be so bad either. Hopefully the swimming season isn’t too far off!
Lovely words as usual. Flower puddles – let me savour the thought…
Thank you – if only we could dive into them.
Beautiful and fun! Your snapthought convinced me to go out and play in our sunshine…
Yay – I’m glad!
This is one of my favorites, Sheila! I love the flower puddles for toe dipping and they’re so beautiful! I love flowers, but I do not have a green thumb, at all! 🙂
Thanks so much Lauren! I keep trying to get my thumb green, but I don’t have much of one either. I just happened to walk by these and really wanted to dive in.
I am so fond of these flowers (do not know the name in enligsh), and looking forward to seeing them again, in some weeks time. Nice poem!
Thank you! I don’t know the name of them either but might have to find out since wildflowers should be easy to grow.
makes me want to string up a hammock, snuggle up with a cozy blanket and a good book…. then nap and then read and then repeat. 🙂
Great idea! That’s one of my favorite pastimes 🙂
Wonderful words and pictures! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Brian! Kind of the opposite end of the spectrum from zombie bunnies though.
